I had the good fortune to find Sharon, my Gressing web developer, when it became clear to me that I needed a website to augment my yellow pages advertising.   

After a brief conversation I sent her the 'buzz' words that I wanted to have  included in the text. Though my business is not rocket science (in fact, it is the opposite of rocket science), Sharon put together a wonderful site for me. I needed a website. New to running my own business – an organic farm – and without great technological talent, I put off the important project of starting my website longer than I should have.   

I needed visibility for my farm before an upcoming conference, and the time was unrealistically short. Fortunately, I found a great partner for the endeavor in 'Gressing, a web and technical documentation solution company located in North Carolina.

Gressing accepted the deadline, and my STAR Team Member led me almost painlessly through the process. She proposed a basic structure, provided opportunities for my reaction and input, and continually modified things to better fit my evolving sense of what I wanted. She was able to dig in and learn enough about organic farming in general and my business in particular to rough out content to serve as a starting place for my thinking. She researched related sites and put my business in the context of what was out there, posing questions about my products, techniques and markets. The questions she asked helped not only with shaping my website, but also with honing the focus of my enterprise.

At every stage, my STAR was open and patient in getting my input, then amazingly responsive in implementing changes or new ideas.
